I have been a designer and artist since i was 6 when i started using adult drawing books and 7 when i first learned to handsew and crochet. Much has revolved around dolls, then i met antiquarians, actual ones and a whole world opened up of fashion, history, jewelry, costumes, cultures and of course repairing and dressing dolls. I have made art dolls, cloth, porcelain, bisque, felt and sewn and tons of clothes. In between these jewels of artistry i raised five of my own children (sewn cooked and crafted the world around them to become the unique adults they now are, each an artisit in thier own way), many others at least partially and instilled love of culture and dolls in many others including young Girl Scouts. Mixed in there is college, university, being a Special Education teacher in two different countries here at home in the US and in Germany, where my mother came from. With all the upheavals life can bring i am now on my 4th startover on doll collecting and have donated countless hours in repairing and fixing dolls, tossed and donated ones for auctions and charities.
I have started back into the world of designing and creating art dolls this time with vinyl and plastic, but took a break to get the backbone of Time To Dream in shape, and these creations will filter into Time To Dream as well.
Friends encouraged me to start my own business instead of my hours not being appreciated and thanks to Melody prodding i finally took the leap and took Time To Dream, on the back burner since 2010, and fired her to life. You find my lovely Lady at the marketplace.

I am in awe of your knitted creations — yesterday I bought two sweaters that I know my granddaughters will love!

The sweaters and other goodies finally arrived at my house today (I had to wait for a relative to pick them up at her US address and then remember to bring them to me!). They are even more adorable in person than in the photos, and they fit perfectly! There are going to be 2 very happy girls this Christmas! Thank you so much, Lissandra!
