Create Textured Knit Fabric by adding wavy tucks

When I sent the Woodland Elf Costume pattern for A Girl for All Time to my testers, the first thing they asked me was about the fabric that I used to make the leggings for my summer elf. It was a textured knit that I had purchase a couple of years ago. It has a bunch of curved tucks sewn into it randomly.

I decided to try to recreate the look myself. It turned out to be WAY easier than I thought it would be. All it requires is some knit fabric, lots of straight pins, an iron and a little bit of time!

I created a free tutorial. It even tells you how to calculate the yardage you’ll need.
