When I set out to make a Fortune Teller pattern, I knew I wanted to try to make a jingly hip scarf. I love the coin scarves that belly dancers use and I have used them when I dressed up as a fortune teller. The challenge was finding tiny “coins” but I was very lucky to find an Etsy seller that sold some that were the perfect size!

I thought that it might take a long time to bead the scarf but I managed to get it done while watching two episodes of The 100 on Netflix. Some of my testers elected to make the scarf without the coins and some just added beads and coins along the hem.
