This pattern was specifically designed and tested on 14.5 inch WellieWishers™ dolls. Please measure and test the fit on your own doll as there are many dolls on the market and it may not fit the same on all of them. These patterns will fit Hearts for Hearts dolls but they will have a looser fit and may need an adjustment to the elastic length or hem length. This pattern is also available sized for 18 inch dolls, 15 inch Bitty Baby™, and 16 inch Disney® Animators. Oh Sew Kat! is not affiliated with Mattel nor American Girl®. No endorsement is implied.

Do you sew? Do you want to? Does your daughter ask you to make new clothes for her dolls? Or would she like to learn herself?
This is where I was with my daughter. She wanted me to make so many things I couldn’t keep the list up! I decided it was time for her to do it herself. (9-11 years old). I created some simple patterns, based on simple designs that would teach her, step by step, how to make them herself. (But do not underestimate the power of a simple design! A new fabric, a shirt underneath, a few buttons on front, a ruffle added…you can create a whole wardrobe and lots of unique looks with just a few basic pattern pieces.) With a few scraps of fabric, and a pattern printed on your home computer, you and your “girl” will be making her dolls into fashionistas!
