This HalterAlls doll clothes sewing pattern makes a shortalls outfit that is perfect for spring and summer; the perfect mix of shorts and a cute dress. Whether it’s a stroll to the park or down along the beach, keep your doll cool and casual in this one piece romper. Make your HalterAlls long or short, with or without lace, trim, or gathered legs. Have fun with different fabrics. Easy pieces and easy construction make an outfit that is as fun and quick to sew as it is for your doll to wear. The easy “one piece pull on” style and open halter back is very easy for little hands to dress their dolls. HalterAlls are like overalls, but even easier!

Do you sew? Do you want to? Does your daughter ask you to make new clothes for her dolls? Or would she like to learn herself?

This is where I was with my daughter. She wanted me to make so many things I couldn’t keep the list up! I decided it was time for her to do it herself. (9-11 years old). I created some simple patterns, based on simple designs that would teach her, step by step, how to make them herself. (But do not underestimate the power of a simple design! A new fabric, a shirt underneath, a few buttons on front, a ruffle added…you can create a whole wardrobe and lots of unique looks with just a few basic pattern pieces.)  With a few scraps of fabric, and a pattern printed on your home computer, you and your “girl” will be making her dolls into fashionistas!
