Playtime Peasant Top and Twirl Skirt Sewing Pattern for 16 inch slim Dolls
Playtime is twirl time! Every little girl loves to twirl with her dolls. What better outfit for her doll to wear, but a simple peasant top and a 3 tiered twirly skirt. This sewing pattern is to make both the skirt and top for the 16 inch slim dolls such as A Girl For All Time dolls. (It will also fit Sasha Dolls with a little looser fit).
Playtime Peasant Top: Long, three quarters, or short sleeves, with or without elastic, it’s quick top to sew and takes very little fabric and 1/8th inch elastic. This top does not have closures and will pull on over the doll’s feet. You can also make a simple dress.
Playtime Twirl Skirt: 3 tiers of ruffled lovliness. Choose one fabric, or three. Make a shorter skirt using only two or add piping, eyelet, lace, or ric rac between your tiers.
Skill level: Easy

This pattern was specifically designed and tested on 16 inch slim A Girl for All Time dolls. It will also fit Sasha dolls with a looser fit. Please measure and test the fit on your own doll as there are many dolls on the market and it may not fit the same on all of them. These patterns will fit Sasha dolls but they will have a looser fit and may need an adjustment to the elastic length or hem length. This pattern is also available sized for 18 inch dolls, 14.5 inch Wellie Wishers, and 16 inch Disney Animators. Oh Sew Kat! is not affiliated with A Girl for All Time dolls. No endorsement is implied.
This listing is for the digital file PDF pattern. My doll, her clothes, shoes, and accessories are not included.

Do you sew? Do you want to? Does your daughter ask you to make new clothes for her dolls? Or would she like to learn herself?
This is where I was with my daughter. She wanted me to make so many things I couldn’t keep the list up! I decided it was time for her to do it herself. (9-11 years old). I created some simple patterns, based on simple designs that would teach her, step by step, how to make them herself. (But do not underestimate the power of a simple design! A new fabric, a shirt underneath, a few buttons on front, a ruffle added…you can create a whole wardrobe and lots of unique looks with just a few basic pattern pieces.) With a few scraps of fabric, and a pattern printed on your home computer, you and your “girl” will be making her dolls into fashionistas!
