This listing is for two doll clothes sewing patterns, combined into one single file. It includes the Sugar n Spice Dress and Pinafore Pattern, PLUS the Everything Nice Dress up Accessories Pattern for 18 inch dolls such as American Girl® dolls.

Sugar n Spice Dress: A simple dress with gathered or puffed sleeves and the perfect amount of twirl to make any doll feel special all year round. It is easy to sew, & perfect to mix and match fabrics, trims or add a simple apron. A staple for your doll’s wardrobe, the Sugar n Spice Dress makes a basic dress for every day, or a breezy sundress for summer play. Layer them together for a pretty pinafore outfit. A simple bonus apron pattern is also included.

Everything Nice Accessories: Who does your doll want to be? A pirate? A fairy? A superhero? A princess? Use this simple pattern to create a whole wardrobe of kid-friendly dress up accessories for your American Girl sized doll to wear with her Sugar n Spice dress to be anyone she wants!

This listing includes patterns for:
-Short sleeve dress (two sleeve options)
-Sleeveless sundress or pinafore
-Reversible Corset (Make the working princess dresses, or classics like Rapunzel’s purple dress)
-Unlined fleece cape (Make Belle’s holiday cape, Anna/Elsa Nordic capes, or Little Red Riding Hood)
-No Sew Tutu (Make any dress into a twirly ball gown or make ballerina tutus)
-Peplum Overskirt (Create a princess look or simple layers with an overskirt that buttons at the waist to create optional peplums)

Do you sew? Do you want to? Does your daughter ask you to make new clothes for her dolls? Or would she like to learn herself?

This is where I was with my daughter. She wanted me to make so many things I couldn’t keep the list up! I decided it was time for her to do it herself. (9-11 years old). I created some simple patterns, based on simple designs that would teach her, step by step, how to make them herself. (But do not underestimate the power of a simple design! A new fabric, a shirt underneath, a few buttons on front, a ruffle added…you can create a whole wardrobe and lots of unique looks with just a few basic pattern pieces.)  With a few scraps of fabric, and a pattern printed on your home computer, you and your “girl” will be making her dolls into fashionistas!
